The following is a brief overview of some of the ministries
we offer at HomeFront:
SUNDAY
MORNING SERVICE
Here’s what you will find at HFC on Sunday mornings
throughout the year…
At HomeFront, we don’t believe that church has to be
boring. While we are sensitive to make our service
worshipful, we believe that our service should be
more like a party than a funeral. We think
that’s the way God wants it.
That’s why we have a band that plays upbeat, but
worshipful, contemporary praise and worship music.
The words to the songs are displayed on two big
screens for your convenience. The goal of our
music is to provide an opportunity for God to touch your
heart, and for you to touch the heart of God as
well.
Added to this, the messages you will hear on Sundays are
inspiring and relevant to real life. The emphasis
is on applying Biblical truth in a practical way
in our everyday lives.
On most Sundays, inserted in the program is a message notes page. On it, all
the scriptures are written out clearly for your
reference. You will find it complete with the main
points so that you can follow along easily and
fill in the blanks as you go. The scriptures and
the answers to the blanks are also provided on the
big screens.
Added to this, on many Sundays our pastor will use a video
clip from some of
your favorite movies to lead us into a message or
to illustrate a point. To quote Forrest Gump,
“You
never know which one you’re gonna git.”
Finally, we try to make our services a little relaxed. Our
pastor is known for his off-beat sense of humor.
The scriptures say, “A
cheerful heart makes good medicine”.
We like to have fun! Please come on out
and celebrate life with us.

Our Hospitality Team wants more than anything to
make your visit to HomeFront an enjoyable one. We
go out of our way to make your experience at our
services as pleasant as possible.
First of all, there is no dress
code at HomeFront. We want you to dress the way
that is most comfortable for you. If you like to
dress up…great. If not, that’s OK too (even
our pastor doesn’t wear a tie). Please note that
on most Sundays our services last just an hour and
five minutes.
When you come into our new building you will see a
refreshment area that is very eye-catching. We
work hard to have a variety of food choices
available so that you are sure to have a little
something to keep your stomach from growling
during the service. We are proud to say that our
coffee is served piping hot! And guess what? We
invite you to take your refreshments and coffee
into the service with you!
Scattered throughout the building are greeters who will be sure to offer you a smile and welcome
you. If you have any questions, please feel free
to ask them, but watch out…some of them bite!
Just kidding.
In our foyer you will also find our information table. At the
table is some basic information that will help you
decide if HomeFront is the place for you and your
family. For the latest information about what’s
going on at HFC, a program is provided as you enter the Main Hall.
Ministry List
We love kids at HomeFront! We have reserved a whole wing of
our building just for them. Our Promiseland
Children’s Ministry is off and running in a
big way. We do everything we can to provide a fun
and safe environment so that our children can
learn positive Biblical values.
We
encourage parents with children 5th grade and
under to take them to the Promiseland children’s
program. We have a clean, safe nursery and an
active preschool class. The older kids will have
fun learning about God during “Plug In” (small
group connecting time), “Power Up” (large
group singing and teaching time) and “Catch
On” (small group real-life application time).
Currently we have two experienced part-time paid staff
members that
lead our children. Furthermore, each volunteer in Promiseland is screened and trained by our staff.

The following is some frequently asked questions regarding
our small group ministry…
HomeTeams:
HFC Small Groups FAQ’s
Q: What is a small group?
A small group is a weekly get
together of up to 10 people for the purpose of
friendship and spiritual growth ...
we call them HomeTeams!
Q: Who is it for?
Small groups are for everyone, no matter where they are
on their journey
toward God. It is a great place to
ask questions and investigate the
teachings of the
Bible.
Q: What exactly takes place in a small group?
In a small group we make new friends, enjoy coffee
and dessert, share our lives with one another, and
practice real-life Bible application and prayer.
Q: When, where and how long do the groups meet?
Typically,
the groups meet in the evening, however, some meet
at a host home or the church during the day. Each small group session
lasts about an hour and a half. Anyone who wants
to stay longer to socialize may do so.
Q: What Bible study curriculum is used for the sessions?
The curriculum varies. We provide an
extensive
list with choices that cover many topics.
Q: What types of groups are offered?
We have leaders who are
trained for COUPLES groups, LADIES’ groups
and
MEN’S groups. We hope to offer other types of
groups in the future.
Q: How do I get in a group?
Simply contact our small groups director, Anna, at 745-2320 or at Anna@homefrontchurch.org.

and training, social events, and special
communion and baptism services, to name a few.
We invite you to come be a part of what God is doing at
HomeFront! Feel free to call our founding pastor,
